I was reminded in a conversation with a friend today of how easy it is for me to start things, and how easy it is for me to let go of what I started because the starting seems to be my passion and once I've proved I can do something, well, time to try something else.
I could say that it's difficult for me to hold on to things, and that would be true too. However, that connotes that I'm somehow wrong because I can't keep ahold of what I started. Maybe my calling is the starting, or awakening, of things. I prefer to think I'm continually awakening and helping others awaken to the fullness and potential of who they really are.
So, I must let go of another thing: the judgment that not holding on like a bulldog to something I've started is bad. Others make great bulldogs, which is so necessary for follow-through and completion of projects. However, I do not have to be a bulldog, but I can, whenever I wish, and I have followed through and completed many things.
The Be-Loved Project -- Anyone can learn to feel more loving, thankful, and peaceful.
Motivated by three school shootings within a week and inspired by Peace Pilgrim, a woman who walked for 28 years and over 25,000 miles throughout the U.S. with just the clothes on her back and a message of peace, Dr. Paula Jeane, a.k.a. "Teacher," is launching a spiritual pilgrimage dedicated to helping thousands of people to create happier, more hopeful lives. The Be-Loved Project starts January 1st, 2007 in Joshua Tree, CA.
