One day in the enchanted canyon I devoted six hours to exploring downriver. As I meandered with the river, I made 6 stops at various enticing places, but sometimes I had to scramble through some pretty heavy plots of prickly plants that stuck easily to my skirt, sandals, and skin. Finding and following the elk trails helped me get through with minimal scratches to amazing, peaceful settings.
I also noticed that there were lots of tangled up weeds, branches, and other "stuff" caught from the summer's floods against the branches of the bushes along the shore. Tangled webs and brambles -- life is like that. Carefully pick your way through and around, (following those in the know -- the elk -- helps too) and the outcome is, perhaps, like in the canyon, a joyous and thankful power place of beauty and peace.
The Be-Loved Project -- Anyone can learn to feel more loving, thankful, and peaceful.
Motivated by three school shootings within a week and inspired by Peace Pilgrim, a woman who walked for 28 years and over 25,000 miles throughout the U.S. with just the clothes on her back and a message of peace, Dr. Paula Jeane, a.k.a. "Teacher," is launching a spiritual pilgrimage dedicated to helping thousands of people to create happier, more hopeful lives. The Be-Loved Project starts January 1st, 2007 in Joshua Tree, CA.
