The Be-Loved Project

May. 9, 2007 - Alas, home again to help where it counts most: my family

Wow, it has been a long time since I blogged. After my trips to California and to Oregon, my daughter made me a proposal I couldn't pass up: help her and my three grandsons. She is an amazing doula, both a birth doula and post-partum doula, and often works nights. The boys were being left alone sometimes and at ages 14, 12, and 9, that was not the best situation, even though my daughter could make a good living.

So here I am in Arvada, CO, driving the boys to and from school and being an all-purpose helper. I have had time, since I don't have to make a living, to work on my books. I updated and divided my old book, "A Touchy Subject," into six smaller books called the "Teach Touch Series." The first two are done in e-book format, the second two are almost done, and the last two are coming soon.

I am now able to focus more on my calling, which is to teach about touch in order to reduce abuse. Touch is a large factor in the cycle of abuse and touch knowledge and skills can bring about mentally healthier families and a more peaceful society.

May you be touched as if you were the most precious thing in the world today. If that is the case, then I don't have to wish the usual upon you: Have a great day!

LOL and many blessings to all. Paula

Hi Paula,

Just read your weblog again. Family is very important and I'm glad to read that you are helping your daughter and grandchildren.
Since december 21, I am a grandma too. His name is Dain (an Scandinavian name) and I'm taking care of him once in the two weeks on a friday. I work 36 hours and that means, one week 40 and the other week 32 hours.
Pauli is not doing very well, she will be 60 this july but since a year or so she has demention and it's getting worse. Next week I will have to talk with the people who take care of her because they think that she can't live much longer in this house (it is a normal house with 5 other women who also have a mentaly handicap). It is terrible to see how less she can do now.
Els is in South-Africa for 5 months, she is doing a study BSR (body stress release, take al look at www.bodystressrelease.com) and she will be back on october 1th. I don't want to tell her about Pauli at this time, she needs to concentrate on her study and only when I know more I will let her now.
This for now.
Your cousin Irma (Mulder)
