Barbara Kantor and two dinosaur tracks - 6:29 PM, Sep. 4, 2007 |

It's pretty awesome, on dinosaur ridge, to be able to show exactly how big dinosaurs were, and what they were doing via their footprints. Mostly, dinosaurs are described from their bones, but with tracks, you can see life played out. Barbara has her hand near a small theropod track, and below her is a huge elephant-sized ornithopod footprint! These tracks are located on the east side of dinosaur ridge just north of the cordoned-off area. Most people walk past them because they are a little hard to spot, until you get your eyes adjusted to what to look for - giant bird-like tracks! "Dino-guy" Ron Schmidtling |
